bidyourspot.com is a public leaderboard. No ads, no API keys, no revenue share — you pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is the bid, nothing else.

1 How ranking works#

  • Bids are whole US dollars — $2 minimum, $1 at a time. No cents, no fractional bids.
  • Any bid gets you on the board at whatever rank it can take, even if it's far below #1. Equal bids keep their original order — the older bid holds the higher rank.
  • Re-enter the same website or @handle to retake #1. Your new bid has to beat the current top bid by at least $1, and you only pay the difference between your last bid and the new one. No one else can steal your spot by matching or paying that same difference — only a strictly higher bid moves the board.
Example: you're #1 at $40. Someone bids $45 to pass you. To retake #1, you bid at least $46 — but you only pay $46 − $40 = $6, not the full $46.
  • Platform links are keyed by path — App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar links only share a bid if the path matches, so two different apps or repos never collide. Tracking query strings are ignored when matching a listing.

2 What you can list#

  • Allowed: a product website, or an X @handle.
  • Not allowed: chat and invite links — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
  • Not allowed: links to sexual content. Porn, NSFW, and adult platforms don't belong on the board.
  • Not allowed: link shorteners. If you submit one, it's replaced with the URL it redirects to — so submit the real destination up front.
  • Query parameters are stripped from every listing link. Affiliate, referral, and tracking URLs won't carry through — submit the clean link.

3 After you pay#

  • Your listing goes public immediately. Clicks go straight to the URL or profile you submitted, with query parameters stripped.
  • A completed payment is what claims the rank — not a pending or abandoned checkout.
